Finance Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our hotel team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining financial records, and supporting informed business decisions in a dynamic hotel environment. You will play an important role in ensuring the integrity of financial processes while collaborating with multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Process daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain payroll support records and coordinate with relevant departments.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, tax requirements, and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
• Analyse financial data and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information at all times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a hotel or related industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated integrity and commitment to maintaining financial confidentiality.
