Finance Officer

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Process daily sales reports and reconcile cash, card, and digital payments.
• Prepare invoices, payments, and financial transactions.
• Monitor budgets, expenses, and operating costs.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Support payroll preparation and ensure timely staff payments.
• Monitor inventory costs and assist with stock valuation reports.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Work closely with management to improve financial performance and cost control.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a finance, accounting, or bookkeeping role, preferably in retail, food service, or a coffee shop environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Professional certification or progress toward one is an advantage.
