DJ Coordinator

Job Description

There’s a certain kind of energy that only a great night in a bar can carry, and music is at the center of it. We’re looking for a DJ Coordinator who knows how to read a crowd, manage sound flow, and keep the vibe consistent from opening to last call. This role is part creative, part organizer, and fully responsible for making sure every night feels intentional and alive.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate DJ schedules for weekly and special events
• Curate playlists and set guidelines for resident and guest DJs
• Ensure smooth handover between DJs and maintain consistent sound quality
• Work closely with bar management to match music style with crowd flow and themed nights
• Manage sound checks, equipment readiness, and basic troubleshooting coordination
• Liaise with DJs before events to align on set direction and timing
• Monitor crowd response and adjust music direction when needed
• Maintain a library of approved tracks and setlists for reference

Qualifications

• Previous experience in DJing, music coordination, or live event entertainment
• Strong understanding of different music genres and crowd dynamics
• Basic knowledge of sound systems and DJ equipment
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in a fast-paced nightlife setting
• Passion for nightlife culture and creating memorable guest experiences
