DJ Coordinator

Job Description

A bar is looking for a confident and organised DJ Coordinator to manage music programming, coordinate DJs, and help create an engaging atmosphere for guests. The ideal candidate understands different music styles, communicates well with performers, and can keep entertainment schedules running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate DJ schedules, bookings, set times, and performance requirements.
• Communicate with DJs regarding music formats, event schedules, and technical needs.
• Work with management to plan music programming for regular nights and special events.
• Monitor the flow of music throughout each shift and address scheduling issues promptly.
• Maintain an organised record of DJ bookings and upcoming entertainment activities.
• Liaise with sound and technical personnel to ensure equipment requirements are communicated.
• Help select suitable DJs and music styles for different events and audiences.
• Ensure performers understand the bar’s entertainment standards and expectations.
• Assist with event preparation, sound checks, and performance transitions.
• Gather feedback from management and guests to improve future music programming.
• Maintain professional relationships with DJs, entertainers, and event partners.
• Support the bar team in delivering smooth and well-organised entertainment experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous experience coordinating DJs, live entertainment, events, or music programming is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of different music genres and current music trends.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and scheduling skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple performers and activities efficiently.
• Good understanding of basic DJ and sound equipment is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
• Confident, professional, and comfortable working in a busy bar environment.
• Experience using scheduling, communication, or event-management tools is an advantage.
