Delivery Driver

Job Description

Our cafe is looking for a dependable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to support our daily delivery operations. The successful candidate will help ensure that food, beverages, and customer orders reach their destinations safely, accurately, and on time while representing the cafe professionally at every stop.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cafe orders promptly and safely to customers and designated locations.
• Check orders carefully before leaving the cafe to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Handle food and beverages responsibly to maintain quality during transportation.
• Plan efficient delivery routes and manage time effectively.
• Communicate politely with customers and confirm successful deliveries.
• Collect payments or delivery confirmations when required.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organised, and in good working condition.
• Report vehicle issues, delivery problems, or customer concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow traffic regulations, safety procedures, and cafe delivery policies.
• Assist with basic packing and order preparation during quieter delivery periods.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the delivery vehicle.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a similar role is preferred.
• Good knowledge of local roads and effective route planning.
• Strong time-management and organisational skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible approach to work.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle food and beverages carefully during transportation.
• Basic ability to use navigation apps or GPS devices.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high service standards.
• Physically able to lift and carry delivery orders safely.
