Delivery Coordinator

Job Description

We are looking for a highly organised and dependable Delivery Coordinator to oversee the smooth flow of customer deliveries and takeaway orders in our café. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating multiple tasks, and ensuring every order reaches customers accurately and on time. You will work closely with the kitchen, front-of-house team, and delivery partners to maintain excellent service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all takeaway and delivery orders from preparation to dispatch.
• Communicate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure orders are prepared on schedule.
• Verify order accuracy before dispatch.
• Liaise with delivery riders and third-party delivery platforms to resolve delivery issues.
• Track delivery times and address delays promptly.
• Handle customer enquiries regarding delivery status and order updates.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and daily reports.
• Assist in improving delivery processes for greater efficiency.
• Ensure packaging meets quality and presentation standards.
• Support the café team during busy service periods when required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in delivery coordination, order management, customer service, or café operations is an advantage.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy periods.
• Familiarity with delivery management systems or food delivery platforms is desirable.
• Good computer and basic record-keeping skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
• Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
