Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a wide variety of cakes, pastries, cookies, tarts, and specialty desserts.
• Develop seasonal and signature confectionery items that complement the café menu.
• Decorate cakes and desserts with creativity and attention to detail.
• Ensure all baked goods meet high standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.
• Accurately measure, mix, and prepare ingredients following established recipes.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering baking ingredients and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen environment.
• Minimize waste through efficient preparation and proper storage practices.
• Collaborate with the café team to support daily operations and special orders.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Confectionery Chef, Pastry Chef, Baker, or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, confectionery production, and dessert presentation.
• Skilled in cake decorating, chocolate work, sugar craft, or other confectionery techniques.
• Ability to prepare consistent, high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Creative mindset with the ability to introduce new dessert concepts.
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
