Job Description

We are looking for a dependable Cleaner who is committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and supporting the daily operations of our cafe. If you have a strong work ethic, pay attention to detail, and enjoy keeping spaces spotless, we would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise dining areas, kitchen surfaces, restrooms, and staff areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors as required.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste according to established procedures.
• Refill cleaning supplies and restroom essentials when needed.
• Clean windows, doors, tables, chairs, and other fixtures.
• Follow cleaning schedules to ensure all areas remain presentable throughout the day.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety hazards promptly.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with workplace guidelines.
• Assist with deep cleaning tasks during quieter periods or after closing.
• Support a hygienic and organised environment that meets food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial role is an advantage but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a positive attitude.
• Basic understanding of safe cleaning practices and the use of cleaning equipment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
