Job Description

A busy cafe is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Cleaner to help maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for customers and staff. If you take pride in creating spotless spaces and work well as part of a team, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean dining areas, counters, floors, windows, and other public spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and replenish supplies as required.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitise surfaces according to cleaning schedules.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish safely.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen support areas as assigned.
• Restock cleaning materials and report shortages promptly.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
• Support deep cleaning tasks during quieter periods or after closing.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in a cafe, restaurant, hotel, or similar environment is an advantage.
• Good understanding of cleaning methods, hygiene practices, and safe handling of cleaning products.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Physically capable of performing manual cleaning duties, including standing, bending, and lifting.
• Reliable, punctual, and well organised.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
