Chef de Partie

Job Description

Our restaurant is looking for a talented and dependable Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team. If you enjoy working with fresh ingredients, take pride in well-presented dishes, and can keep your cool when the kitchen gets busy, we would love to have you on board. You will play an important role in maintaining food quality, supporting the wider kitchen team, and making sure every plate meets our standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards.
• Take responsibility for your assigned kitchen section during service.
• Maintain consistent quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
• Organise ingredients and ensure your workstation is fully prepared before service.
• Monitor food freshness, storage, and stock levels.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Support junior kitchen staff and work closely with other chefs.
• Keep your section clean, organised, and ready for service.
• Assist with menu preparation and special dishes when required.
• Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Culinary qualification or professional chef training is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Demi Chef, or similar kitchen role.
• Good knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality food.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the kitchen team.\
