Job Description
A vibrant restaurant is looking for a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to take charge of a specific section in our kitchen. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys precision, creativity, and working in a fast-paced culinary environment where quality truly matters.
Responsibilities
- Run and manage a designated section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, pastry, sauce, or larder)
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes consistently to restaurant standards
- Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Ensure ingredients are properly stored, handled, and used efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff when required
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or wastage
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods
- Good teamwork skills with clear communication in a kitchen setting
- High attention to detail and commitment to food quality
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
