CCTV Operator

Job Description

A busy restaurant is looking for a vigilant and dependable CCTV Operator to help maintain a safe, secure, and well-monitored environment for guests, employees, and property. This role is ideal for someone with excellent observation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond promptly to security-related situations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor live CCTV feeds and recorded footage to identify suspicious activities, safety concerns, or operational issues.
• Conduct routine surveillance of dining areas, entrances, exits, kitchens, storage rooms, and other designated locations.
• Report incidents, security breaches, accidents, or unusual behaviour to management immediately.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily monitoring activities and security incidents.
• Retrieve and preserve CCTV footage when required for investigations or internal reviews.
• Ensure CCTV systems and related equipment are functioning correctly and report faults promptly.
• Support emergency response procedures by providing accurate information during incidents.
• Maintain confidentiality of surveillance footage and sensitive information at all times.
• Work closely with management and security personnel to enhance safety procedures.
• Follow company policies and relevant legal requirements regarding surveillance operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CCTV Operator, Security Officer, or in a similar surveillance role is preferred.
• Certification in CCTV operation or security management is an advantage.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems, monitoring software, and video recording equipment.
• Strong observational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency for report preparation and footage retrieval.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
