Café Supervisor

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily café operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Lead, motivate, and support café team members throughout each shift
• Welcome guests and resolve customer concerns professionally
• Monitor food and beverage presentation to maintain quality standards
• Coordinate staff schedules and assign daily responsibilities
• Train new employees on service procedures and workplace standards
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering and receiving
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards are consistently maintained
• Process payments accurately and oversee cash handling procedures
• Support promotional activities and help achieve sales targets
• Prepare daily operational reports and communicate updates to management

Qualifications

• Diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience in a café, coffee shop, restaurant, or food service supervisory role
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace health standards
• Experience with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications
