Banquet Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to oversee banquet operations, coordinate event execution, and lead a dedicated team in providing outstanding service. If you thrive in a fast paced hotel environment and have a talent for organization and leadership, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise all banquet functions from setup to completion.
• Coordinate with clients to understand event requirements and ensure expectations are exceeded.
• Work closely with the kitchen, front office, and other departments to ensure seamless event execution.
• Lead, train, schedule, and motivate banquet staff to deliver excellent service.
• Monitor event setups, service standards, and breakdown procedures.
• Ensure banquet facilities are clean, well maintained, and presentation ready.
• Manage banquet inventories, equipment, and supplies efficiently.
• Oversee staffing levels to meet operational demands while controlling labour costs.
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and resolve concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hotel operating standards.
• Prepare banquet reports, monitor budgets, and support revenue targets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing banquet operations in a hotel or large event venue.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Sound knowledge of banquet service standards, event planning, and food and beverage operations.
• Strong organizational, problem solving, and decision making skills.
• Experience with banquet scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel or event management systems is an advantage.
