Assistant Restaurant Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager who is ready to support daily restaurant operations, inspire employees, and help maintain high standards of food quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations.
• Supervise front-of-house employees and ensure excellent customer service.
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and training of team members.
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching to improve service standards.
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment.
• Assist with cash handling, daily sales reconciliation, and operational reporting.
• Help implement promotional campaigns and upselling initiatives.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming restaurant environment.
• Step into the Restaurant Manager’s responsibilities when required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a restaurant.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Experience managing staff schedules and daily operations.
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems and basic computer applications.
• Sound understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Financial awareness, including basic budgeting, cost control, and cash handling.
