Assistant Restaurant Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Assistant Restaurant Manager to help oversee daily restaurant operations and support the Restaurant Manager in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring the restaurant operates efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the restaurant’s daily operations and workflow.
• Supervise, motivate, and support front-of-house and service staff.
• Help recruit, onboard, and train new team members.
• Ensure excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards.
• Coordinate staff schedules and manage shift coverage.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
• Support cost control initiatives and minimize waste.
• Prepare operational reports and assist with achieving business targets.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable health and safety regulations.
• Step in for the Restaurant Manager when required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a restaurant.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Good organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic reporting is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
