Assistant Hotel Manager

Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Assistant Hotel Manager to support the daily operations of a well-established hotel. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys leading teams, delivering outstanding guest experiences, and ensuring every department operates efficiently. Working closely with the Hotel Manager, you will help maintain high service standards, improve operational performance, and contribute to the continued success of the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Support the Hotel Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations.
• Supervise front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and other operational departments.
• Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Monitor service standards and implement improvements where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hotel operating procedures.
• Assist in managing budgets, expenses, and departmental costs.
• Coordinate with department heads to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Monitor occupancy, reservations, and guest satisfaction reports.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate operational records and prepare management reports.
• Step in for the Hotel Manager during absences when required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel operations or hotel management in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to handle guest concerns with professionalism and confidence.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of front office procedures, housekeeping operations, and food and beverage service.
• Experience using hotel property management systems is an advantage.
• Financial awareness with the ability to assist in budgeting and cost control.
