Finance Officer

Job Description

Our hotel is looking for a dependable and detail-focused Finance Officer to join our team. If you enjoy working with numbers, keeping financial records in order, and making sure every transaction adds up, you could be a great fit for the role. You will support the hotel’s day-to-day financial operations while helping management maintain accurate and well-organised accounts.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records.
• Monitor daily income, expenses, payments, and receipts.
• Prepare invoices, payment schedules, and routine financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements, cash records, and other financial accounts.
• Assist with payroll, budgeting, and expense tracking.
• Review financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Support month-end and year-end accounting procedures.
• Work closely with other hotel departments to resolve financial queries.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and records.
• Assist with audits and ensure financial procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Previous experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a hotel or service-based environment.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and handle confidential information professionally.
• Professional accounting certification or progress towards one is an advantage.
