Finance Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Finance Officer to join our hotel team. The successful candidate will support accurate financial operations, maintain reliable records, monitor transactions, and help management make informed financial decisions. This role is ideal for someone with strong numerical ability, sound accounting knowledge, and a high level of integrity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, invoices, receipts, and payment documentation.
• Record daily hotel revenue, expenses, purchases, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare regular financial reports, reconciliations, and account summaries.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor cash handling and ensure financial procedures are properly followed.
• Support payroll preparation and other finance-related administrative tasks.
• Work with management and other departments to improve financial controls.
• Ensure financial records comply with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification or progress towards one is an advantage.
• Previous experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a hotel or service-based environment.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
• High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professional integrity.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment.
