Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

Job Description

Our restaurant is looking for an organised and service-focused Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support daily operations and help maintain high standards across dining, beverage service, and guest experiences. The successful candidate will work closely with the management team, coordinate staff, monitor service quality, and contribute to efficient restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily management of food and beverage operations.
• Supervise and support restaurant service staff during shifts.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve service concerns professionally.
• Coordinate staff schedules, duties, and shift activities.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and service standards.
• Monitor stock levels, orders, and product usage.
• Assist with controlling operational costs and reducing wastage.
• Support staff training, performance reviews, and development.
• Ensure restaurant policies and procedures are consistently followed.
• Prepare operational reports and communicate key issues to management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in restaurant or food and beverage operations.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant service procedures and food safety standards.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong customer service and staff management abilities.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale and basic operational management systems is an advantage.
