Linen Room Attendant

Job Description

Our hotel is committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation across every guest area. We are seeking a dependable Linen Room Attendant to support the smooth operation of our housekeeping department by managing hotel linen, uniforms, and related supplies. The successful candidate will help ensure that clean, well-organised linen is consistently available to meet the needs of guests and hotel staff.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, count, and organise clean and used linen according to established procedures.
• Inspect linen for stains, damage, and signs of excessive wear.
• Maintain accurate records of linen movements, stock levels, and replacements.
• Distribute clean linen, towels, uniforms, and other supplies to relevant hotel departments.
• Collect used linen from designated areas and prepare it for laundering.
• Keep the linen room clean, orderly, secure, and properly stocked.
• Separate damaged or unsuitable items for repair, replacement, or disposal.
• Assist with periodic linen inventories and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Follow proper handling, storage, hygiene, and safety procedures at all times.
• Work closely with housekeeping and laundry teams to maintain an efficient linen supply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a linen room, laundry, housekeeping, or hotel environment is preferred.
• Good organisational and inventory management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify damaged or stained linen.
• Physically able to lift, carry, sort, and move linen supplies safely.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team.
• Basic communication and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent cleanliness standards.
• Professional attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.
