Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm and professional attitude.
• Manage reservations, waiting lists, and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Answer customer enquiries in person and over the phone.
• Coordinate with service staff to optimise table availability.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting entrance area.
• Assist with handling guest requests and resolving minor concerns promptly.
• Thank guests as they leave and encourage repeat visits.
• Support the team during busy service periods when needed.
• Follow all customer service, cleanliness, and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Host, Receptionist, or in a customer-facing role within a cafe, restaurant, or similar environment is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional appearance.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and courteous during busy periods.
• Basic computer or point-of-sale system knowledge is an added advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
