About the Role

As a Grill Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled meats, seafood, vegetables, and other menu items to specification. You will play an important role in maintaining food quality, ensuring kitchen cleanliness, and supporting smooth daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook grilled menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Monitor cooking temperatures to ensure food is cooked safely and consistently.
• Season, marinate, and prepare ingredients before service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station at all times.
• Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality before use.
• Coordinate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely meal preparation.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Minimize food waste through proper handling and storage practices.
• Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas after service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Grill Chef or in a similar kitchen role within a restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, meat temperatures, and food preparation methods.
• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and organized during busy service periods.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment.
