Procurement Officer

Job Description

An established hotel is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and timely delivery of goods and services that support daily hotel operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining quality standards, controlling costs, and ensuring uninterrupted availability of supplies across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain quality products at competitive prices.
• Prepare purchase orders and monitor deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, invoices, and supplier documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment with department heads.
• Evaluate supplier performance and build strong vendor relationships.
• Ensure purchased items meet hotel quality standards and specifications.
• Compare quotations and recommend cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Resolve procurement-related issues, including delayed deliveries and product discrepancies.
• Support budget control by tracking purchasing expenses.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and relevant regulations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous procurement or purchasing experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Good knowledge of inventory control and procurement procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement or inventory management software.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound decision-making ability.\
